| | Is an alcohol prep pretty much the standard way to condition this call or does anyone use scotchbrite? |

| Hey Pineknot . I use the scotch brite pad. I have never used the alcohol prep pads. Do they work well? They don't hurt the call?

| I use the scotch brite to rough up the surface when it starts to get slick. The alcohol will clean the surface and give it new life. If your call has some age on it you will be amazed at how it brings a call back to life. Like Scott said be sure to keep your striker tip roughed up.

| My Vision Aluminum has always sounded great as I consistently condition the call surface and striker tip with the scotchbrite pad prior to using it.
The alcohol prep pad definitely freshened up the call surface resulting in pure turkey ringing out of the call as I ran it. Ronnie or anyone else, how often do you use the alcohol prep pad to condition the call surface?

| Not very often, Maybe the first of the season and maybe midpoint if then. My call was three or four years old when a buddy told me to try the alcohol and that could be why I was so impressed.
