I have been using a slate type call for years and have killed several birds. Recently I picked up a new Woodhaven Legend Glass. It sounds good, but I made the mistake of watching some of the YouTube instructional stuff on calling and heard some pros making excellent yelps. They were really emphasized the "snap" when you go from high to low notes. How do you do that? I usually make a "C" starting at the top of the call and ending more toward the center. Sometimes I think I am just not hearing it as well because the call is so close to me. What is the best way to get the two tone yelp on a Legand glass?

The two note yelp should be pretty much automatic with a legend glass or any Woodhaven pot style call for that matter. This is achieved easily by creating oblong ovals. It should start towards the upper area of the conditioned area of the call (this being the high front end) and then the rasp or back end of the yelp should be at the lower end of the oval.   Never pick the striker up off of the surface of the call.  Simply repeat the process. the oval should be approximately one inch long.

Hope this helps.

Well if you made a C that means your picking up the striker.  An oval would be a complete circle on the surface.  If your killing turkeys and getting good sound with your call I wouldnt worry with it.
