After calling, I rinse my mouth calls with water, making sure that the water rinses both sides of the call and in between the reeds. After that, I put a plastic toothpick in between the reed with the cut in it and the next longest reed. If you can't find plastic toothpicks, I have found that breaking off the "tines" of plastic forks works well too. I don't like to use wood toothpicks because they have tiny splinters that may damage the reeds. After the pick is in place, I lay the call on a papertowel for several hours (or overnight) letting it air dry. After the call is dry, I put it in the call case and store it in the fridge until I'm ready to call again.
