I just bought the Crabtree sig. series and the latex is  not stretched and is very loose. It sounds great though, so I was just wondering if it is suppose to be that way?

Thanks,

Josh Peachey

Peachy,

The Crabtee call is made with 3 prop reeds, not latex. Prop is thinner than latex, so even when the call has the proper side and back tension, it seems that there isn't much stretch in the call, but that's just the nature of prop. Most calls in the Woodhaven lineup are either all latex or a combination of latex and prop reeds. Because latex is thicker than prop it doesn't "give" as much when you push on it with your fingers. Prop on the other hand, gives quite a bit. I hope this answers your question - glad you like the call!

Jason
