| With the season opener here in Iowa less than a month away I'm trying to get prepared while on Spring Break. I was using my Real Hen Cherry today and noticed it is in need of some chalk. Just wondering what kind of chalk I should put on it. Thanks in advance for your responses.

| | Just make sure you use BOX CALL chalk ...not the kind that has wax additive like for chalkboards.....we do not sell chalk by itself as a product yet but maybe we will in the future. Colors of chalk do seem to make a difference as this is different "additives" and "blends" in the chalk. The orange chalks that are available, some blues and white(railroad chalk) seem to work on the RealHens. Hope this helps mike |

| | Got some chalk finally. Should I lightly sand the lid with the grain before applying new chalk? |

| | I would see how the call accepts the chalk without any modifications. Your call should take the chalk just fine. If you find the need to sand, do it LIGHTLY. The last thing in the world you want to do is change the geometry of the call. |
