Hogjaw, it will be hard to get anyone to tell you stuff about that on here being that this site is set up to help sell calls that Woodhaven makes, this is why companies set sites up like this. As far as I am concerned, woodhaven is a custom call and is by far one of the best if not the best you can buy. If you really want to build your own, check in the back of the NWTF magazine for a Childres Call press. I think he still advertises in there but be prepared cause any call press thats worth a darn is HIGH dollar! and you also have to make sure that its compatable with all types of frames because not all presses are.

callem in close and let'em flop:cool

Thad from Feather Ridge builds a solid press.

Below is his email address, he is also on a forum called Custom Calls Online.

Email:

FEATHERRIDGE@WOH.RR.COM

Good luck...BTW you won't get much help here with info that you are inquiring about.

Ah I knew that I wouldn't get much help and hey, I love woodhaven calls. Even if I made my own I would still buy woodhaven's mouth calls.  I honestly think they have the best there are out there. I just want something to play around with. But anyway thanks for your input.
