Been up to no good lately...or atleast that what my wife says!!!

Decided this year to purchase a new shotgun...specifically pieced together for turkey hunting.  So...I made some phone calls to some good buddies are big time turkey hunters and did a little internet research.  After almost 4 weeks of research and phone calls...last weekend I bought it.  Decided on a Benelli SuperNova with a Steady Grip.  No one had camo...so I had to go with the black synthetic.  Ordered a JellyHead Choke Tube this week after speaking with 7 or 8 guys that are shooting that combo.  If what they say is true...I most certainly will not be disappointed.  Only things left are a good red dot scope and a sling.  So...I went to the shop I bought the gun and looked at red dots.  After looking a 7 or 8 of them and not wanting to spend a total fortune, I decided on the Bushnell Trophy Multiple Reticle with Red and Green Dots.  I am headed out tomorrow to pick up the base to mount it and I will be hitting the patterning board tomorrow or sometime this week.  I CANNOT WAIT.....April 26th can't get here soon enough!!!

Thanks for the tips on the recoil pad and reducer.  I will probably invest in a reducer, but after this season.  As for a recoil pad...not a big fan of replacement pads.

But...after mounting the red dot yesterday, I found that my LOS is lower than the red dot.  So, today, I have to order a comb raising kit from Beartooth Products.  I have heard good things about these kits...so I guess we will see how they work!!!  That should be here this week and I should be on the patterning board by Saturday evening!!!!

IT IS COMPLETE!!!  FINALLY!!!  I just to add some camo - burlap - sniper-style!!!

Pics to come tonight or tomorrow!!!  Patterns are great out to about 50 yards...I don't plan to take any shots past 30, but there are plenty of pellets inside the kill zone at 50!

And MI-TURKKILLER....the Red Dot is SWEET!!!!  No doubt a GREAT investment!!!
