Greetings from Ga.

Our season last from March 22 till May 15 and you may hunt all day everyday and take 3 gobblers per season. You can take all 3 as jakes or mature gobblers. We have no fall season and you may not take a hen bearded or not. I love our season but some trade offs would be nice. I would love to be able to hunt in the fall and as many hens as we have here it would be nice to take at least one a year. But begars can't be choosey. I do enjoy the lengthy spring season that we have. I am getting my new mouth calls tuned up and ready to go. Nothing but Woodhaven Diaghrams for me this year. Best of Luck to everyone no matter where you are from, Tim H.

Hey guys,

I live in LA nad hunt in AR as well and they have been covered. I did make a hunt in eastern OK in 2005 and the limit there is 3 birds and you can hunt all day. There are some county restrictions but you can kill your limit all in one day! Some counties have a 1 bird limit and some a 2 bird limit.

One thing I noticed while there was that once a gobbler got to 3 years old or so they grew the thickest beards I have ever seen. I like big thick paintbrushes. The 2 year olds had pretty typical 8-10 beards and some skinny but the older birds all seemed to have big wide beards. And lots of them.

I have heard teh Rios in Western OK are even more plentiful but haven't been yet.

Aim Small; Miss small.

As mentioned before, Alabama allows 5 total (both fall and spring together). However, only about 6 counties allow fall turkey hunting and it's gobbler only, no hens.

The only guys I know that legally limit out are retired or unemployed. I would take a good pay cut for a job that allowed morning turkey hunting.

South Carolina season runs from March 15-May 1 in the lowcountry.  The limit is 5 per season.  No more than 2 killed per day.  The WMA lands do not open until April 1. The Piedmont and upstate open April 1.  There are no restrictions on beard length.  It is legal to shoot a bearded hen.  There is no fall season.

Indiana

Spring = 1 bearded bird (Tom or bearded hen)             Fall = 1 bird (Tom or hen)

Stinks, I wish we had 2 Gobblers for Spring like our neighbors in Kentucky.  I have never hunted fall birds, to busy archery hunting whitetails.
