They harvested stem cells from his blood(immature white blood cells) which they transfuse back to him after each round of chemo. They took about a week to get up to acceptable levels so yesterday he and Phyllis (my wife) were able to return to the apartment, he will remain under observation until the 9th when he will start his next and hopefully last round of chemo, and then be able to come home the 28th.
The Lord has blessed us at every turn as we deal with this health issue, Between the university having a foundation which had an apartment come open across the street from the hospital that they are using for free to air fare that is allowing Phyllis and my daughter in law to travel back and forth. They have been given donations and had dinners and raffels that have provided funding that gives them the chance to worry about healing and not financing. It is good to live in a community that people still know one another and care for each other. It is almost overwhelming to have the amount of support these kids have gotten.
Once again my family thanks you all for your continued prayers. Greg still has a long road but we have faith that with Gods help he will be restored to good health.
