Jarvis,

I'm hunting KY this year in Butler Co. Where do you hunt? I don't think there will be any need for me to make a trip up there before season, there were birds everywhere during deer season. It was unbelievable!

We have another month till season opens here in ky.I have been seeing toms strutting with hens here for the past 2 weeks but no gobbleing of a morning.I think they may breed early here.If they do the season should be pretty good.

Blair Wilkes here in Georgia! We have just recently begun to recieve warmer weather and everything finally seems like spring is here. Did a little scouting this weekend and the woods look good, seems to be very promising. I would like to remind the amateur hunters out there that it is probably not smart to be calling to your birds two weeks before season opens. Educating ol' Tom is is all you're really doing so please do yourselves a favor and scout don't spook. Personally, I am FIRED UP for the season. Good luck to ya'll!!!

YEAH, THEY WERE GOBBLIN UP IN SCOTT COUNTY PRETTY GOOD TOO. HOPEFULLY WE GET SOME MORE WEATHER LIKE WE HAD SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. JUST A WEEK AND THREE DAYS AWAY!!!

Finally got a chance to get up to my property in MS this past weekend and I was very pleased with what I heard and saw!! Birds are gobbling good, well into the morning. 2 weeks fellas!

Put some trail cameras out man and see what time they are coming to the field and where they are coming out into the field. That-a-way if you can't score early that morning you know were the birds want to go and when they get there and you can be waiting on them! Then have a strutting decoy out there and watch the show! Happy hunting...

In southern Indiana...

Got to 63 degrees yesterday and melted all 8" of snow. I started getting the fever, but then it is supposed to snow again tomorrow. I need to head south and hunt early. who know's i might get my first snow bird this year.

Help me with some scouting techniques please. I usually just go out before daylight and listen to them in the mornings a few weeks before season. I see lots of scratches, but it seems as if they travel differently every day here in the spring. Right now they are all going to the picked fields. What more do you look for? I am an ambusher when it comes to birds. Do you all try to pattern them? Helpful Hints for the Hooser wanted

Ive scouted three days this week, it looks like it will be another good year in West Ga. Im going in the morning to scout a new place that has just been clear cut. Any thoughts on hunting select cut property?

Yea, looks like we have a chance for some more snow tomorrow. Twice in one year in south Louisiana, hell might have actually frozen over! LOL! Who dat?!? Anyways, if not this weekend then i'll have to wait until the weekend of the 27th. I'm ready! I've heard birds gobbling good as early as February 8th. So I'm eager to get out there.

I'm in Mississippi myself and I am ready. I'm plannin on gettin out next weekend and scoutin some, looks like we're gunna get some pretty cold weather the end of this week.

I'm usually out and about by this time of the year, but here in Florida (like the rest of the SE) we have had nothing but rain and cold weather and wind. I'm hoping that this weather will mellow out. I really enjoy scouting the spring woods.

We're still buried in snow up here in Ohio. The turkeys are frozen solid to the limbs. We don't open up until the end of April so i'll be looking to scout more in March.

Headed to a new piece of property in Mississippi this weekend to begin scouting (no calls allowed) and put out a few cuddebacks. 5 weeks! Counting down!
