Went fishing yesterday on Lake Wedowee, in Wedowee Alabama, the fish are finally begainning to start bitting caught some nice ones both spotted and large mouth. I gess all that fishing in the hot of the summer is starting to pay off with some nice ones while it begains to cool off.

Caught some spottail bass, trout, and flounder. Released them into some hot grease this evening. In case you were wondering, it was good. That is all.

Does not seem like spring here in Florida, but my Dad caught this 5lb. 3oz. bass earlier this week.

Made 50 Jugs last night

Shannon Coker and I made 50 Jugs last night out of those Noodles. It was very easy and it didn't take but 2 hours. Hope they work good. Anyone else use noodles?

Just going to let everyone know that it is time to go catch some big cats on Lake Weiss.We went last saturday and caught 14 the biggest being 53lbs,the smallest was 22 so just imagine what kind of fish fry we can have.Mike and any of the guys this is open invitation to go catch some big cats lol....... Take care guys!

Hot weather fishing

The weather has really heated up down here so that means its time to break out the spear guns and have some fresh gulf mullet. We have made the last two saturdays and while we have not really tore them up we have boated around 40 each trip. The lack of rain has really left the flats clear this year so visibility has been pretty good in all our spots and with the higher salinity its looks like scallop season will be more like it is suppose to be when the season opens July one. That means the more remote spots will produce more fish due to the increase in boat traffic, with all the activity if you can slip out on a weekday your odds will go up dramatically.

Saturday we had the bonus of seeing tarpon three different times and even though it is not a rare sighting up here it is not all that common either, another neat sight we had last weekend was a pair of dolphin came in mullet fishing where we were and swung by close to the boat so we could look each other over, I enjoyed seeing them but I am glad they didn't check me out when I was in the water I might have swallowed my snorkel if they had.

Is anyone out there catching and fish?? I have been catching limits of bass about every weekend on the lake plus a few bonus stripers, whites and crappie.
