Just curious about how many of you will attempt to put a smackdown on a turkey this fall? I've only went once myself a few years back but didn't do any good. I'm sure most of us are getting ready for our respective deer seasons so I thought I would throw this post out there. I've really wanted to get into fall turkeys more, but I'm just so hard pressed for time. I did have a difficult spring season so maybe I'll take some of my deer hunting time for a try at a turkey.

I'll be out for sure....I MUCH prefer spring gobbler, but anytime I can hunt turkeys, I am a happy camper!!!  Looking to do one with a bow this year!

I would consider myself a beginner to bow hunting with compound bow, but aside from deer archery season, the other big reason I purchased my bow was for turkeys as well. I'm saving up for a double bull blind to hunt turkeys with a bow.

I usually hunt Spring Gobbler only, but I will be out this fall to help a youngster harvest his first turkey. We have a split between our waterfowl seasons (my passion) and turkey falls right in the split. I have to add, my second passion is upland birds, so with that being said...I will be out grousin' it hard too! LOL! I love great dog work!

Having been scouting hard for geese this September,I have encountered on one farm, in 3 different fields mind you, 4 different groups of birds. First group had 122, the second had 91, and the third had 78. We had a good nesting season here in my area of Pa,and the birds have had a mild winter the past few years.

Good luck to you all and have a safe season.
