| I am so ready for bow season, i just planted my fall plot a week ago because we are now getting some steady rain fall. I have a question though regarding stand positioning. I have always have had this stand in the same spot for many years its been a very affective stand in the past but the only problem is the way its positioning your view is block because of a bluff. The stand is along a bluff only because its blocks your wind. I am planning on repositioning the stand soon any advice on how i should go about this?

| With out being there to get a feel for your problem, my opinion would be if it aint broke dont fix it! keep yourself outa the wind its your worst enemy!

| I figured it would be hard to get some feedback without someone actually seeing my situation, thanks for the help though, I still have a few weeks to decide on what to do.

| This is a reply from a flatlander but in my opinion you are much better served to have favorable wind than visibility. My still hunting experience is almost all primitive weapons and in thick swamp country where bow range is about all I can see anyway. You may try using a portable in a different position just to see if you like the new spot better.

| Thats the thing I can't really use my portable stand bc there are no good trees to climb I would have to put up a lock on stand, I think what I am going to do is put up that lock on and wait till I get a good wind to hunt that stand.

| | I would almost have to leave the stand where it is. I will agree with the statement, if it isn't broke, don't fix it. You may also consider putting up a ground blind. Again, it would be nice to see the location.

| Thanks for the feed back guy's. I decided to out the stand up anyways, I actually just got done hanging it. I feel that it will be very productive with a south wind. The view of the stand is so much better than the other I also have better shot opportunities. I will try and ost some pictures of it and see what yall think.
