| | Any of you guys get out in the March Canada Goose season in NY??? I only made it out one time...and we piled them up !!! We had a blast...4 man limit of 20 birds in about an hour or so once the birds started flying!!! It was a great way to end a season... |

| | that sounds awsome. I've never heard of it. Is it resident canadas or something? I got a cool story for ya, I'm down in Orlando for work and I has driving down the road and of course there was a stoplight about everyother block and there was a group of Harleys crusing along side me. I wasnt paying much attention to them until at one of the red lights I hear this familiar voice and hear it is Jeff Foiles talking to his wife on the other bike and I was star struck. I perked up and said "are you Jeff Foiles!?!". He was as suprised as I was and said ya and after that we had a conversation for about th next four red lights. He could not have been nicer and I let him know I live in Wisconisin and he urgeed me to stop by his booth at the deer and turkey expo in Madison in April. How cool hey? |

| That's funny because I texted Foiles a pic of the hunt in the first post and he said he just returned from Bike Week!!! Oh...and it probably wasn't his wife ...they split a year or two ago (BAD DEAL THERE).I have known Jeff for going on 5 years now and he has never been anything but cordial to me...even before I was on staff for him. He went out of his way to help me and talk to me at shows, etc. |

| | Oh...and yes, the season is meant to cut down the resident population. NY is "being overrun" with resident Canadas...or so they say, so they implemented a 10 day March season to help knock down the population of resident or nesting geese. NEVER has goose hunting been so easy....every flock we saw but one was feet down, in the decoys, about 10 yards out and 5 feet off the ground when the shot was called!!! |

| | March Season? Oh my gosh that would be incredible and makes more sense than a january season in one way. At least in most cases you arent trying to decoy educated local birds in the snow. But I would believe you should have a a pretty good trickle of migrators making their way back by then. Band Reports may show this |
