I have been using the Ol' Tom Casanova strutter this year with a real fan added.  It has worked great in both Alabama and Texas and also folds up really easy for travel.  You may already have your mind made up, but if not I would at least consider this one.  I have used mine with a hen decoy placed about 5 to 10 feet to one side of the strutter and this combination has gotten the Casanova spurred and flogged several times this season.

Sadler (4/25/2008)
I did not care for how it looked, but I wanted it cause I can roll it up and put it in my bag, and fly with it.

I'm with you there brother.  I thought personally that the head on B-Mobie was akin to the head of a gobbler that had been dead and hanging for the better part of a day.  I like your idea, but instead of switching heads... I pulled a Pablo Piccasso on mine.

Here is a picture that shows the repaint of Puff Daddy (I named him) pretty well.  My fiancee Rebecca shot this bird on our first hunt of the year this spring.  I put more red in his head, gave him an iris and a retina, ear feathers etc etc.  This was his maiden voyage with his new look.  She shot him at 19 steps and I called him in using a Woodhaven Glass and (small world) a Sadler McGraw signature series mouth call.

Yes, I've been fumbling around a bit before daylight with the washers and wingnuts.  I'm sure I'll end up devising something to make it a quick release, I'm thinking of some type of spring loaded rod with the washer that you pull out, and when released it compresses the fan against the decoy.  Other than that, I'm a little leary about pulling him out on certain set-ups and in certain areas, not because he won't work, but PA has a ton of gobbler hunters, or should I say guys that hunt turkeys...I'll leave it at that.  Thanks for all the feedback.

Tony
