Yeah mine do the same. A call maker told me that it is best to take your friction calls out of your vest when you are finished hunting. He said that it could lose sound if you always leave the call with a surface saver on it or in your vest if the surface of the call had collected any moisture. Hope this helps.

Different factors can make a call "sweat" such as change of temperature, i.e. from house to outside, or even as the dew begins to rise in the morning (that's when I notice mine the most).  I do keep my scotchbrite pad handy that comes in the conditioning kit.  When in notice this happening, I immediately hit it with the pad, and it does seem to help.

From my experiences with my slate calls any time you get cold or rainy mornings you're better off to leave them in the truck. i wouldn't really call it sweating though, slate has a tendency to suck all the moisture it can out of the air making it virtually useless once this happens. As far as solution to this all i can think of is to save it for those dry warmer mornings.

My aluminum gave me a little trouble a couple of times last week. When I first removed the call saver I had no problem it was only after setting out did I get some condensation so I put the call saver back on after use and the problem was only first thing in the morning. Less than an hour after daylight I had no trouble. I seldom use a friction call after a turkey gets in close anyway.
Hope that helps
