I would like to know if there is a general striker /pot combination that the sting team uses when doing a kee-kee run during a friction competition. Thanks

Most guys will use a Vision Aluminum or a Cherry Chrystal.  A birch laminated striker is the most common one used.

Although different strikers will achieve higher pictches (ie. laminates/oak/etc.)  the kee-kee is more so the stroke than striker.  You have to start near the edge of the pot and run your striker in a pattern that ends up looking much like a bird drawn by a kid...you know, two arches.  It takes some experiementing with striker angles and pressure, but with practice, you should get the hang of it.

I was playing around with my alum vision the other day my boss said "let me give that a try" The guy wouldnt now what a turkey call was if it hit him upside the head. Within 5 minutes he was busting out kee kees and yelps like someone with years of practice. I was floored at good he was for never even seeing a turkey call in his life. What a testiment to how fenaminal Woodhaven calls are.
